Does Dr Miracle’s Gro Oil Work

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best hair growth products for African American hair with severe breakage?
I get my ends clipped regularly, but some reason i still have breakage and my hair doesn't seem to be growing. I wash my hair every three weeks (I have to extend my washes because my hair is very dry and frequent washes make it brittle) and condition with cholestrol but my growth is VERY slow. Any recommendations???
I have used DooGro, B&B Super Gro and Dr. Miracle's.

    • ANSWER:
Look for products that have protien in them. Stay away from products with petrolum and mineral oil, they're VERY bad for your hair. Look for products with Shea butter and coconut oil. Don't limit your hair product selection only to the ethnic sections of the store. Dont use so much heat on your hair. Wash hair no more than 1x per week and learn to use conditioner in between washes. Products i recommend: Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Shampoo and conditioner, Doo Groo Mega Thick Growth Oil, Vitamin E oil (can purchase this at CVS). Deep Condition once a week, wear satin cap at night or sleep on satin pillow cases. Keep straightened hair wrapped. Use 100% boar bristle brush only, use wide toothed combs when combing hair. Oil scalp every other day/night. NEVER EVER USE DR. MIRACLE'S!!!! It's a load of CRAP!

Is it bad for your hair if your constantly changing products, even if your using a bad product?
I heard from my mom that changing products is bad for my hair and I have been mainly using Dr. Miracle's products; like the shampoo & conditioner, Gro Oil and Deep Conditioner (I'm sure that's not the name of it but I don't remember it)

I need some MAJOR advice, especially since I'm trying to go natural and I want truly healthy hair

    • ANSWER:
generally speaking switching shampoos is best. but if you are using an organic shampoo then you go to one made with chemicals thats when it is bad.

Do you know any really good hair growth products?
Or oils, treatments, etc. I'm using Mane 'n Tail shampoo and conditioner, I take vitamins like Biotin (I feel like it only works for my nails), and I use Dr. Miracle's Hot Gro Hair and Scalp Treatment sometimes. I barely put heat on my hair, like I only use a hair dryer sometimes. I know hair isn't going to grow super fast, and it takes patience but still..anyways, what's your advice?

    • ANSWER:
According Dr. Melissa Piliang, a dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic. Americans spent an estimated 6 million on hair loss products last year, and chances are some of that money was not well spent. Don’t let charming salon owners, seductive ads or fancy gimmicks convince you otherwise.

CNN, Slate, Consumer Reports, MSN, YAHOO have posted them online for years how people spend billion per year on vitamins and supplements.  According to Everyday Health, here's an article that will tell you why . . . those PRODUCTS by any other name do NOT WORK.  It is false advertisements.

Google: Are Supplements Good For You? About 58,000,000 results (0.13 seconds)

THEN Google: Are vitamins & supplements good for you? About 230,000,000 results (0.17 seconds). Some can actually shorten your life!

Google: Hair growth lawsuits. Hair growth caused other men nationwide in class-action lawsuits. About 1,640,000 results (0.10 second. Jan. 24, 2011.

Best advice from Hollywood's well known hairstylist in the 80's once said: "Keep foods in your mouth and hair products on your hair."

If you've straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.
Google: "Foods for Healthy Hair" - Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don't expect to look like you've stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you've changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results.

Growing healthy hair doesn't come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you're in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you're eating healthy foods. But when hair isn't growing as fast, it's because they've been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) doesn’t have to approve supplements — no agency in the United States does. Because of inadequate quality control and inspection, supplements contaminated with heavy metals, pesticides, or prescription drugs have been sold to unsuspecting consumers. And FDA rules covering manufacturing quality don’t apply to the companies that supply herbs, vitamins, and other raw ingredients.
Beginning in February 2008, they experienced one symptom after another: diarrhea, joint pain, HAIR LOSS, lung problems, and fingernails and toenails that fell off. FDA has received numerous reports of harm associated with the use of these products, including stroke, liver injury, kidney failure, heart palpitations, and death. 3-15-11

does dr miracle's temple and nape gro really work? can i use it if im not african american?
okay i cut my hair a few months ago by myself and it looked alright til i messed up. i want my hair to go down to around my ribs or a little above my belly button. right now its in the middle of my breasts. does it work? and can i use it all over my scalp, not just nape and temple? and can i use it if im white?

    • ANSWER:
Heh, I doubt it would work since our hair textures are different. Besides if you were black or not I wouldn't recommend Dr. Miracles anyways, that product sucks. But anyways, I would look up Flax Seed oil, I have read great reviews (from both white and black people) that it works great. You can get it from Walmart by Spring Valley or GNC. I want to try it as well. Also, drinking your recommended daily amount of water as well as getting your ends trimmed to keep them from breaking off at the same point helps as well.

How do I make my hair less fragile?
I'm a seventeen year old african american/ dominican girl with thick yet extremely fragile hair. I use a straightener about once or less a week, I grease it when needed, and it still breaks off very often. I recently dyes it black, thinking that it wouldn't hurt my hair, but maybe it did? What should I use to make it stronger?

    • ANSWER:
Don't grease your hair anymore. It doesn't moisturize at all. That's what's contributing to hair breakage.

Also stay away from shampoos with sulfates and conditioners with any type of alcohol in them, both of those things are extremely drying.

I'd recommend Dr. Miracle's products for your hair, I've been using those for a while and my hair has really never felt better.

Do a hot oil treatment on your hair with the Gro Oil. After that, rinse it out with any sulfate free shampoo to have your ready for the next treatment.

After rinsing that out, put in the Damaged Hair Medicated Treatment, leave it in during your shower (15-20 mins), then rinse that out.

After, deep condition with the Deep Conditioning Treatment (comes in super and regular). I usually leave it on for few hours because the tingling feels nice, but you only have to leave it in for 30min to 1-hour.

Rinse out that and wash your hair with conditioner. I wash mine with Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Conditioner because it's alcohol free.

After the conditioner, I towel dry my hair, and mix 100% Argan Oil with the Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Conditioner to moisturize. It leaves your hair feeling really good and there isn't a lot of product weighing it down.

For regular washing, I'd suggest washing your with conditioner and shampooing once a month, or whenever you want to prep your hair for an intense conditioning treatment.

Until the condition of your hair improves, stay away from the straightener as much as possible. If you really have to use it, use it on the lowest heat setting possible, and wrap your hair with a satin/silk scarf for the rest of the week so you won't have to put any heat on it.

How do you get your hair to grow, once it's growth was stunted?
Several years ago I got in a fight and a girl pulled some of my hair out when I hit her, which stunted my hair growth in that spot. How can I get my hair to start growing back in that spot.

    • ANSWER:
Your too lucky.I've had a hair loss problem some time a ago and it was really hard for me bald spots all over my head.I had to cut my hair bald.I had a huge one in the size of a ping pong ball and other smaller ones. But now all pf them have grew (i just have two spot's in my nape with light hair). At that time i used sulfur 8 shampoo (it's a bit of drying for the scalp and hair so later you should apply a hair mask or a moisturizer.)Try using products that tingle like:Dr. Miracle's Anti-Breakage Strengthening Creme,default,pd.html?cgid=Hair03-01

      get a topical product:
      Profectiv Growth Renew Topical Treatment,default,pd.html

Dr. Miracles Stimulating Moisturizing Gro Oil,default,pd.html

Do hair treatments every once in a while.Take hair vitamins ( i didn't but my hair grew).

What is the best hair growth product?
I am an african american and need a product that can grow my hair at least an inch in a month, and doen't destroy it.
P.S. No shampoos or conditioners, only things that you can leave in you hair.
    Please include:
    1. What the product is.
    2. How long it takes to work.
    3. Where you can get it.

    • ANSWER:
I reccommend Dr. Miracle's Gro Balm and Oil. I am not sure how long it takes, but I heard that it is really, really good and makes your hair grow fast. You can get it at walmart, target, and walgreens. I am about to buy it myself. I hope this helps!

Best moisturizers for Native American or African American hair?
So im mixed and most products don't work for my hair. And my mom said i have to keep my hair moisturized cause my hair is really dry and some times it breaks and i get split ends really fast. So what products should i use? My black family member gave suggested i use Africa's best herbal grease and my native family said i use hair mayonnaise. But they dont work lol plz help

    • ANSWER:
It's really about trial and error. What works for other family members may not work for you, you just have to experiment.

My hair has loose curls but tends to be frizzy, so I tried using some Garnier products. But my hair ended up breaking off.

So I looked into some Black Hair Care sites and found different products to try.

My hair absolutely loves Dr. Miracle's products. The products I mostly use are: Deep Conditioning Treatment (repairs, moisturizes hair), Intensive Spot Serum (helps hair grow), and Gro Oil (hot oil treatments for moisturizing).

I used those when my hair was having growth problems and I don't have problems with that or breakage anymore.

I also moisturize my hair by mixing 100% Argan Oil with Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Conditioner. It leaves your hair feeling great.

Just experiment and see what works. =)

But I'd really suggest staying away from shampoos with sulfates and conditioners with any type of alcohol in them, those things are really drying to your hair.

how can i grow out my african american hair?
ok i get a relaxer every 2 months and i cant get my hair braided because it damages my hair very badly so what is a way i can grow out my hair all by myself?

    • ANSWER:
I am growing out my hair that has been damaged due to overprocessing and bonding glue. I stopped getting relaxers so often. I just get them every 4 months or so. I use Dr. Miracle's products, Shampoo and Conditioner and Hot Gro Oil. These products are great! I use them along with getting my hair braided i micros. I get relaxers 2 weeks after i take my braids out and wait another month to my hair re-braided. If you cant get your hair braided you can go with straw sets or some type of natural style that will keep the comb out of your hair so often. My hair has done a total turn around since i have changed the way I take care of my hair! Good Luck!

I just started useing dr.miracle's hot gro conditioner ,does it really work.?

Does Dr. Miracles Hot gro oil help hair grow or Gro Aut Hair oil?
I am African American & my hair will not grow past my collarbone so I just cut it to my shoulders. I want it to be down my back. I need tips to help it grow.

    • ANSWER:
I have been using a few products and have seen great results. Before using these products I had a short spike hair cut. Now my hair is level with my chin in less than four months. I started taking a hair vitamin called Hairfinity daily to strengthen my hair. I also use Aphogee hair care line since I have relaxed hair. It works wonders for damaged hair. The last product I used is Gro-Aut and it is a GREAT product. My hair is constantly itching when I use it which is generally a good sign. My hair is soft, has lots of sheen, and plenty of bounce. I highly recommend Gro-Aut. I used Dr. Miracle's before and it just made my hair brittle. Feel free to email me and I can show you pictures of my progress.

      Happy Hair Journey!

How to make box braids stop hurting!!?
Well today i just got box braids and my hair is hurting to the point no one can pull it or touch it! plz have an right answer

    • ANSWER:
you will need to get an oil. I like doo-gro oil because it has a narrow tip that you can use on your scalp easier. Oil your scalp because your braids are so tight it can put alot of stress on your hair and your hair can break and you will have flakes. I also got Dr.Miracle's nape balm with the "feel it" sensation. This will give your head a "cooling" effect and make your scalp feel better. Sleep with a satin/silk head scarf on your head to protect from breakage. don't pull your braids up, keep it down until your scalp loosens. This is what i do when i get micro braids. hope it helps

      the end

Does Dr. Miracle hair products really work?
I am interested in trying out those products since it seems as every1 is scraping them up on the shelves. I want to work on certain parts of my hairline. Has any1 tried those line of products before?

    • ANSWER:
No. Anything containing mineral oil and/or petroleum does not help the hair grow, in fact these ingredients have been proven to hinder growth. You'd be better off with Wonder Gro's Mega Growth Carrot Oil or Wild Growth Oil. Pure and natural oils are better for aiding hair growth, also coconut oil and olive oil are beneficial to growing thick healthy long hair. I love oils containing castor oil. Do a little research on hair products before you jump on the Dr. Miracle's bandwagon, I've heard a lot of bad things about his particular line of products, people were disappointed go to ultra black hair and they have him listed as a fraud (you can do an engine search for ultra black hair) .

Go to this site and you'll find other (better) things that work for fast hair growth.

Don't believe what people say about not being able to make your hair grow faster, I had hair that was less than twoinches long in late '05 and by '07 it was to the middle of my back, in about a year it grew that much all because I found something that worked.

How long will it take my hair to get to my chin if its an inch long now?
Yeah my parents finally gave in so Im growing it out like Sonny moore... but its gong to take forever!!!! :( lol

    • ANSWER:
I agree, about a year. I cut my hair short too, but not that short a year or so ago. I used Dr. Miracle's Gro Oil.....
You can find it at a CVS. Use that twice a week.
My hair grew 5 inches in like 2 1/2 months. You do not want to over do it because it can and will burn your head!

what is a good hair regrowth system for African Americans?

    • ANSWER:
Doo Gro and Dr. Miracle's are pretty good. If you like to use oil, Wild Growth oil might be good for you. Massaging your scalp every day might help also. You can get all three at most Sally Beauty Supply stores.

how to get my hair to groW?
im black and i have ok length and have what should i do to make my hair a book it said my diet any other suggestions to get my hair flowing beauifully and long.

    • ANSWER:
There are so many things you can do.

pills- GNC sells skin nail and hair pills for $ 10(month supply) or if your a man buy biotin pills. Man or female follow the pill up with a multivitamin and an Omega3 capsule

oil-there are hair growth oils such as Doo Gro or Profectiv Gro oil.Works best after washing your hair slipt it a part down the middle of your scalp and pour.

balms- Dr. Miracle's has a great Nape & Temple gro balm apply twice a day . i recommend before bed and in the morning.

shampoo and conditioner- Pantene Pro-v has a new line called Beautiful lengths. It helps promote growth by turning up your hairs moisture so the less likely hair dries and breaks.

food- food such as meat, beans, and milk promote healthy hair especially omega3 rich fish (salmon), or biotin infused Energy bars.

Also get a water filter for your shower head. The hard calcium weakens hair. Use a satin cap at most drug stores Triple Gro caps are great because the satin fabric is infused with formula for growing your hair thrice the length, just dont wash the cap before 6 weeks.

      NO PERMS!
avoid chemicals like mineral oil and alchol and proteulum

To maintain hair for the meantime i suggest keep your hair in cornrows( maybe with extentions) I suggest the braided extentions because you can easily wash your hair without combing it or worry about blow drying.

Does Dr.Miracle's gro oil work good?
I looked up the reviews and they all seemed pretty good, product helps grow faster and make your hair softer, (except that almost everyone said it had a horrible smell to it) i dont need my hair to get thicker but more in length, my hair has some major breakage and split ends from bleaching it blonde in the past.

So I was just wondering from people who have personally tried it, is it worth buying the Gro Oil product?

    • ANSWER:
Nothing will make your hair grow faster. Don't buy into those products.
Eat healthy, boost up your protein, and massage your head every day to stimulate blood flow to the roots.
I would seriously consider cutting off the breakage. It won't make your hair grow fast, but if you continue to grow your hair out with all of that damage it will ruin the rest of your hair (especially the split ends). Just cut it off and start fresh! I know it is hard to be patient with something like this, but time is really the only thing that will make your hair grow.

Does anybody got anytips to make afircan american hair gorw faster?

    • ANSWER:
Please try Dr. Miracle's "feel It" Formula" 2 in 1 Tingling Shampoo & Conditioner. While you are shampooing your hair, you can actually feel a tingling sensation which means that the formula is working to stimulate your scalp and strengthen your hair. After the shampoo, try Dr. Miracle's Hot Gro "hair and Scalp treatment Conditioner. I started using Dr. Miracle's about a month because my hair was dry, brittle, lacked luster and just lifeless. Now----my hair has grown about 1 1/2 inches, getting thicker, and has a lot of body.
Oil your scalp with the Hot Gro about 3 times a week, and shampoo once a week. You will see and feel the difference.
      I LOVE IT.

how do i get my hair to stop splitting ?
i got all natural shampoo and conditioner and i keep my hair mosit w. agadir argan oil and i stay away from heat but when i do straighten my hair it just seems like it has gotten worse and more split im losing hope what do i do ?? p.s i have african american hair

    • ANSWER:
What's in the shampoo you're using? The conditioner? If the shampoo has any sulfates, don't use it. If the conditioner has any type of alcohol in it, don't use it. Both ingredients are drying to your hair.

Is the argan oil you're using 100 percent pure? If not it could have alcohol in it which is drying.

Try using some Dr. Miracle's products. I used the Damaged Hair Medicated Treatment when I was having splitting/breakage problems and did a lot of Deep Conditioning Treatments along with Hot Oil treatments to moisturize my hair and get it strong and healthy again.

      Here's the official website:

Some of his stuff is in stores depending on the demographic (Gro Oil, Damaged Medicated Hair Treatment, Deep Conditioning Treatment, Intensive Spot Serum, and some others) but some are only online.

For shampooing and conditioning, try the Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Shampoo and the conditioner as well. Those don't have sulfates or alcohol.

For a moisturizer, I mix the conditioner with 100% argan oil and massage it into my scalp.

This worked for me, hopefully it will help you. =)

Will these things help hair grow?
    1. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    2. Vegetable Oil (cooking)
    3. Doo Gro Deep Down Intense Penetrating Conditioner
    4. Dr. Miracle's "Feel It Formula" Temple and Nape Gro Balm
    5. Pink Grocomplex 3000 hairdress
    My hair type:
Short length (well maybe medium length it stops in the middle of my neck)
    Very thick!
    Dries out easily

    • ANSWER:
Although people claim to have good results from using cooking oils and other cooking products, I would stick to something that is made strictly for our hair follicles. Something that also adds more than just moisture and vitamins that the cooking oils mainly provide.

From experience Dr. Miracles is Great!! However with that product its like medication. When your sick, you take medication and once your better you stop taking it. If you continue to use Dr. Miracles when its already done its job you will damage you hair and it will create a reverse affect. Pay close attention when using that product.

Door Gro Deep does wonders on supplying the hair follicles with proper nutrient rich vitamins and it smells great. But I don't like it because its a heavy solutions and I don't like my hair to be weighed down.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil would be great on your scalp and the ends of your hair!

I haven't heard good or bad things about pink complex.

Overall everyone is a little different so try not to compare someones experience with a product and base that on what could happen to you because it may really work for you but not for them.

      GOOD LUCK!!

    Dr. Miracles hair Growth products?
Okay, so the last couple of days I have been researching about hair growth because I am interested in a dramatic growth for my hair. I went to the salon because I had a lot of split ends and the cut off about 6 inches, too short for me. I have been trying to grow my hair out for about 7 months now and it does not seem like it is growing at all. So yesterday I was online looking at hair products for "Dr. Miracle's damaged Medicated treatment," and "Dr. Miracle's Stimulating Moisturizing Gro Oil." Well I read the online reviews about it, and I was impressed with the reviews. One woman said withing about a 7 month period she had noticed that her hair grew about 9 inches. I was shocked by that, so I read on about the product and like out of 107 there was like maybe 10 people it didnt work for but the rest were seeing there results. Now I am hoping to grow my hair quickly so I went to Sally's yesterday and bought it, both of the ones I mentioned earlier. I shampoo my hair with TREsmee anti breakage because I have breakage. Well anyways, After i used the shampoo, I put the damaged Hair medicated treatment in my hair and let it set on my head for about 5-10 minutes. I experiences the tingle and cool feeling on my head, felt refreshing, does not smell good but that is a risk I am willing to take as long as it makes my hair grow. My hair was slightly greasy after wards, then I put on the GRO oil and my hair looked so greasy, even after blow drying, but I have to admit it is pretty soft.

I am white as you can see to the side, I have straight hair already but its damaged and all that so i bought this because it treats everything.

I am hoping that it works for me, all together it cost me about o bucks and when i came home with it my husband was mad that I spent money to grow my hair, but he is a man and doesnt understand my needs and wants as a woman. What man does.

I have to admit I do feel a little stupid but I will feel more stupid if it doesn't work.

has anyone used this hair products before? Do they now if it actually works on white people's hair.? How long will I start noticing result in my hair growth? Advice is good.

Also, what I wanted to know is there any foods that I can eat to help give me all the vitamins I need for my body and to help the vitamins flowing for good hair growth?

I am not healthy and I do not eat healthy, i am a fast food junkie, any advice will help. I am trying to get myself together and get healthy and have pretty long hair.

Also a clear face. i just got on birthcontrol to prevent pregnancy and possible cyst on ovaries and my fast was pretty bad, so hopefully it will help but is there any type of remidies to do or things to use. I have tried the lemon on the face, didnt work, I have tried pro active, millions of brand facial produts and nothing is seeming to help.

I feel like I have so much wrong with me that needs improvement..

Advice and tips are always welcomed..
I care about beauty and I want to be one that knows I am beautiful and feel it too.

is sewing in tracks the best method for adding length?
i want it to look like my hair but i dont want them too long.

    • ANSWER:
Its not the best method but it works so go for it. I rather you try and grow ur hair naturally then putting braids in it which dries it out or putting tracks in it. Also if u dont want it too long just get 12 or 14in. Thats a good length. How long is ur hair neway? You should grow it out naturally and take good care of it use deep conditioning, hair mask, good shampoo, olive/ almond oil, mayonaise, hot comb. These are things that will help you. Try Dr. Miracle's, Garnier Fructis, Pantene Pro-v, Neutrogena, Doo Gro, & Optimum Care. You should use a hair mask once a week. Also wash ur hair with mayonaise to strengthen it. The stronger ur hair the better it will grow. Try also a balanced diet. Add fruits and vegetables to your meals. If your body is healthy on the inside your hair and skin will be healthy and it will show up great on the outside. Wrapping ur hair and rubbing ur scalp with olive oil each night a great method of growing ur hair.

My hair grows out pretty well, lately its been having some slow growth my friend reccmmened me Dr. Miracles Nape and Temple...i just wanted to know how well this product is???

    • ANSWER:
Dr. Miracle's Feel It Formula Hot Gro Hair & Scalp Treatment Conditioner and also the temple and nape is really good. I use it. The only thing that at first I didn't like about the oil was that it made my hair kind of hard because my hair wasn't used to the product. But other than that it's an okay product, I'm not raving over it but it's different for everyone.

Have you heard about the Miconazole Nitrate Challenge? Look it up on youtube.
But it's basically a mixture of that and essential oils like peppermint, jojoba, olive oil, etc.

Also another great growth aid is the Hairfinity vitamins that I want to try soon and have heard great things about and Organic Root Stimulator products that can found in your hair stores (I use these - they are good too)

I'm currently doing the MNC and having great success!!

I wouldn't try any of those hair growth things because my friend did and it made her hair fall out... that and there's no way any product or anything can speed up the process of growing hair:( Nothing can legit fix split ends either :( Sorry it sucks, right??! With 10 dollars (not much) I would go with the herbal essences hello hydration or the aussie moisture shampoo because they make your hair super soft and not dry or frizzy:) John freida frizz ease finishing cream is amazing too:) For more expensize go get some deep conditioning mask... they rock. I have the macadamia one but it's like . WORTH IT

How do you feel about Dr.miracles hair products

    • ANSWER:
I'm West African and so is my mom. My mom has been using Dr. Miracle products and they definitely have been working. My mom is 50 years old!! and after using those products for about 3 years (long time, i know but still she's 50!) her hair is really healthy, shiny and and about 6 inches longer. Stronger? idk...but i think so. I'm not going to lie...idk if i should totally attribute this success to Dr. Miracle because she also uses other hair products.

      She also uses:
      Magical Gro products
      Profectiv products
      Olive oil products

I think if you use Dr. Miracle's and you're not satisfied, you should also try the above mentioned. Good luck with your goal! :)

    Dr. Miracle Gro Oil?
Will it still work if you use water to wash it out instead of using Dr. Miracle's Tingling Shampoo & Conditioner?

    • ANSWER:
It doesn't work for me. I've seen no results with that. I used Wild Growth hair oil. They sale it at most Sally's as well as online. It's a small company who makes it, it works wonders. I've gained at least 3 inches in the past month and it has really thickened my hair out as all the damaged I've done over the years had thinned my hair out A LOT. I swear by this product. Also has stopped breakage almost altogether. In a month my hair is longer and as healthy as it was in my childhood, even my beautician was shocked. I say try it out.

does dr miracles make your hair grow?
(no offense but blacks only please)

    • ANSWER:
Well, I'm biracial with non-Caucasian hair, so I'm going to answer this one anyway...
I have been using Dr. Miracle's relaxers since the summer and it has done wonders! For the past 3 years my hair stayed at medium length. It just would not grow! I started using their relaxers in July and my hair has grown almost 3 inches since then.
I have tried some of their other products (the serum and the Miracle gro oil) and they ARE greasy, but the serum has worked wonders on my ends when I use just a dab of it. A little goes a long way.
I recommend the relaxer highly, but there are other comparable styling products that are better to be honest.

    I know I've already asked this before....but....?
Okay, as said in the title, I know I've asked this before but I really need experienced advice on this. I am 14 years old and have a relaxer at the moment. When I was about &, my hair was about an inch past my shoulders. It was natural then. My step-aunt got a hold to it, and took out a lot of it by french braiding it. Just imagine to big balloons put together-that's how much of my hair came out. So my mom never let anyone touch it and it grew again, and was back at an inch past my shoulders. My previous beautician, who was pressing my hair, died, so my mom took me to somebody who I've been going to for about 2 years now. My hair has kind of gotten shorter ever since she touched it. I got a relaxer august of 2009. My hair has not grown much since. On Friday, I washed my hair and as I ran my fingers throughout the ends, i saw my hair was coming out! So, I'm going to grow my hair out and not ever put a relaxer in it again. However, I need an experienced person to tell me how to take care of my hair during this time and how to actually make it grow. My hair is thick, but soft. It's straight and soft due to the Cherokee in me, on my mother's side, and thick and nappy *yes i said, there's no other way to put it!* on my dad's side. Yes, I am black. I currently use Dr. Miracle' s Tingling Gro and Tail and Mane Hair and Scalp Ointment on my hair. Can you please tell me the absoultely CORRECT way to nourish my hair and take care of it, make it grow, and cut down on frizz as much as possible? Can you also tell me which products I should use that is gentle and not harsh on my hair type? Sorry for this being so long. Thank you! :)

    • ANSWER:

How can I make my curly hair grow faster?
I have thick dry curly mixed girl hair that is a bit pass my shoulders (when curly). I miss having longer hair I used to have it almost down to my waist, I want to get it at least to my mid back, maybe a little longer. I've been researching online and not being able to find anything that convinces me. I have purchased a few products that promise results. 1.) Murad's shampoo and conditioner 2.) Doo Gro hair growth 3.) Dr. Miracle's hair growth oil. I am hoping that at least on of these products are working for me and I'm not just waisting my money. I would also appreciate any tips on changing my hair routine that would speed up my hair's growth process. Thank you, I hope I get some great advice from the community.

    • ANSWER:
Biotin vitamins, 1000mcg. Biotin is the B7 or H vitamin which is involved in your hair and skin. It helps increase the cell growth and it really works wonders in helping hair grow faster. A B7 deficiency causes hair loss and even eyelash and eyebrow loss depending on the severity. You can get shampoos that contain biotin but the skin doesn't absorb it well so vitamin pills are your best bet. I use Puritan's Pride Biotin vitamins 1000mcg since they're super easy to swallow. My hair has grown significantly since I started using them, I almost think I'm seeing results over night :P I'd say growth increased about an inch but my hair usually grows kind of fast. Regardless I highly recommend it. And biotin helps with PMS (:

dr. miracle's gro oil question please help?
okay so i just got that stuff because i wanted to try and see if it would speed up my hair growth because items like these usually work for me and then i read more about it and found out that its for african american hair types? i didn't know that so is it still good for my hair or no?

i have soft and wavy/straight hair but its starting to get a little damaged from straightening so please hellp!

Dr miracle's product sucks but the no LYE RELAXER is GOOD?
The gro oil is bad it took out my hair out from the roots , the temple nape damage my hair, the hot gro made my hair come out from the roots, the anti-breakage strenghthening cream made my hair dry and it start breaking off

    • ANSWER:
I'm an avid user of almost hair product on the styling meds line. Since you are having these problems I think you should visit your dermatologist immediately. I'm not completely sure if the products did that to it, or if you're allergic to the main ingredients or as someone else said, that your hair may have been damaged before.

In my experience, these products work. My hair has stopped breaking and the temple and nape cream worked wonders for me. The perm is sooooo good. The leave in Relaxed Hair potion also does a great job.

I think, above anything... you should visit a dr as soon as possible.

Eat grains, legumes, nuts and seeds.

Speaking of oils use oils like jojoba oil, olive oil, and many others and massage them on your scalp. But be careful and test the oil on a your skin before putting it on your scalp. If it turns red and starts irritating you do not use it.

Lavender oil - It is a popular oil for hair growth. It has been proved that application of
lavender oil on regular basis has a significant effect on the growth of hair.

Jojoba oil - This hair oil can be used if your hair type is dry. Jajoba oil will help to moisturize your dry hair when applied on regular basis. It can also be used before shampooing your hair to get a tangle free soft hair.

Coconut oil - Coconut oil is commonly used for dry and damaged hair as it provides appropriate lubricant. The different nutrients in coconut oil like calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium provide good nourishment for the hair.

Rosemary herbal oil - This oil is commonly used for flaky unwanted dandruff on the scalp.

Almond oil - Almond oil helps to repair and strengthen your hair.

Also tie you hair up at night to protect it from all the twisting and turning are body does when we are asleep.

Make sure you trim any split ends this will not help your hair growth but will make your hair look presentable.

Also do not brush your hair to hard it will make more hair fall out.

Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo & massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head..

      Good Luck

    • ANSWER:
Hell yeah i pray and long for soft, long, silky, healthy hair but unfortuanately my hair is very dry, wavy, and nappy. :[ I'm indian and dats crazy. I supposed to have nice hair. No matter what I do to it its always dry. I hate it. I wish I had indian hair. That good hair. I mean when ever I straighten my hair is looks like indian hair though dont get it twisted but the only thing with my hair is that its very thick and has alot of body in it comparing to alot of other people. Thats what I love about it. But I still wish that it was long and pretty and straight. So now Im in the works of using a Neutrogena hair mask once a week. Also using Garnier Fructis shampoo (length and strength) and the deep conditioner. Deep conditioning is what I need for the dryness. Thats all and I use olive oil and mayonaise too. I use products from Dr. Miracle's, Luster's, and Doo Gro to help grow and keep my hair shiny and healthy and break away the split ends and dryness and damage.

What can I do to make my hair grow faster?
Okay, so I got a bad hair cut... She cut a lot shorter than I wanted. my shortest layers is right above my ears! And that's not the bangs. My hair is to my armpits, but I want to grow it longer, and my bangs are at my eyes, I want them to be at my nose, longer if possible (:

Anything I can do for it to grow longer? Vitamins? Hair Masks? At-home perm?! Anything..
Oh, and please don't tell me hair grows at a rate. I already know that but I'm just asking how to grow my hair faster than normal. :) Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
Get a multivitamin. (I use Centrum Multivitamin)

You could use Vitamin E Oil on your scalp (massage it in every night before you go to sleep)

I Use Dr. Miracle's Gro Oil (walmart ), and i find that all these things help my hair grow.

Also, depending on how dry your hair is, make sure you keep your hair moisturized from root to end. This reduces on split ends and will reduce your need to get your ends clipped. If you have naturally oily hair, you probably wouldnt have to worry about this. But you could get a hair lotion for moisture. (I use Cantu Hair lotion. its like for a 13 oz bottle and can be found in walmart or cvs. i use it daily and it lasts me about a month)

what r some of your fav products?

    • ANSWER:
Any Neutrogena product. If you want clear skin thats the way to go. I really like "Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioners". They make your hair silky and repair the damage. Also "Dr. Miracle's" and "Doo Gro" hair products are very good for black people's hair. It helps with the damage and it is also good for restoring life into the hair. It makes it silky and its good for damaged and dry hair. They help with split ends also. Very good I RECOMMEND those two products for anybody. The "Maxiglide" is a hair straightener. Its not a flat iron its better. You will no longer need a perm/relaxer if you buy that. I like "Noxzema" it works into the pores of your skin and helps remove buildup, makeup, acne, and oilyness. Its such a good product to use and you can use it everyday and wash your face. "African Shea Butter" is great for burns, scars, and dark spots. I use because I has mosquito bites on my legs and it cleared my legs from them within a month of me using it everyday. "Olive Oil" is good for people with dry hair. You should consider using that for your daily routine. You have to rub it on your scalp and to your ends. "Neutrogena Hair Mask" is something that I think anybody that longs for sikly healthy hair should use. Its the best product in the world hands down.

does dr miracle's gro oil work
